I love the large size of this, especially when it comes to large family gatherings. We have had this at least two years and have never stressed the motor or had any issues with it working. I like the plastic that goes around the top of the mixing bowl that allows me to add ingredients as it is mixing without making a mess.
A HUGE disadvantage to this is that it is very heavy. We purchased this for my mother who is in her 70's and an avid baker but she had to return it because it was too heavy for her to take in and out of the cabinet. For someone who can handle the weight or for those who leave it on their countertop, this is the BEST. Because it is heavy duty it handles large jobs and will last for years.
KitchenAid also has the wonderful ability to add attachments and the mixers they made 10 years ago will accept attachments made today. I love a company that does not create a product that has to be updated to take advantage of new features. It is great to have a company whose goal it is to make long lived products rather than a company who creates a product that has to be replaced in a couple of years.Get more detail about
