My 21 year-old Classic KitchenAid mixer is still going strong but we got this one in Empire Red for a second home.

Now that a few months have passed and much use here is why I would like to re-do this review:
1. The mixer does NOT come with a dough hook!
2. The whisk-type beater intended for egg whites, cake batter, etc., is EXTREMELY small. It does not actually meet with either the sides or the bottom of the bowl!!! I couldn't believe it. My old Kitchenaid beater makes noise because it leaves barely a molecule of eggwhite between the beater and the bowl. This one takes forever to whip egg whites because the beater does not EVER touch the bowl.
3. It has started making a funny whining noise as if a bearing is going out. Get more detail about KitchenAid KSM150PSER Artisan Series 5-Quart Mixer, Empire Red.
