I had wanted to purchase a KitchenAid for several years but for various reasons was unable to. I did look at the fancier version that has a 6-Quart capability (and if you are consistantly making professional wedding cakes, perhaps the 6-Q option would be better for you), but for my needs - pie crusts, pizza dough, bread, gingerbread, sugar cookies - etc, this 5-Q version is perfect.
Changing out the 3 attachments is simple, as is cleaning them. I like that the bowl locks in, but can be removed (again, easier cleaning). The mixer is not overly loud (compared to the hand mixer I was using previously) and though heavy it is movable.
