I've had my old mixer for 20 years and it has seen plenty of use. Once it started wearing out I started looking for a new one. I fell in love with the red Kitchenaid. I read the reviews and they were all positive so I ordered one for myself for Christmas. I gave it a real test right off the bat with oatmeal raisin cookies. I've used it every week and am pleased to say I love it. I thought I'd miss scraping the sides of the bowl during mixing but everything in the bowl is mixed perfectly so scraping is not necessary. It's quiet and quick. Next week I'm going to try some bread dough. And, it looks so fabulous that I'm thinking about repainting my kitchen to compliment my new mixer! I highly recommend it and look forward to spending many years cooking with my new Kitchenaid.
