I have only used this mixer a few times. I bought it because I am gluten intolerant and when I use a had mixer to mix gluten free doughs they tend to climb up they beaters making a mess all over the bottom of my mixer unless I stop mixing every couple of seconds to scrape the dough back down...annoying! The dough does not climb up the beater in this stand mixer, and it does not splash out!! The only thing that I would suggest is that you get a few extra bowls and a few extra paddle beaters unless you don't bake that often. Also, if you like to make big batches I would suggest going with a 6 quart.
