First stand mixer I've owned. Very happy with it's ability to do any mixing job I have including bread making and mixing heavy cookie dough. Relatively quiet and heavy enough not to walk on the countertop when using at full speed. Best price was on Amazon and received very quickly after ordering. Also pleased to be able to take advantage of rebate offer of shredder/slicer attachment. I got my Kitchen Aid very quickly, sooner than I expected. It's is beautiful, albeit very heavy. I loved the fact that it came with a recipe book which clarified that because the motor is so powerful some of the mixing times would be shorter than those for a regular mixer. I can't believe how much easier it makes baking. I baked a tart and 2 loaves of bread (all from the recipe book) and they were a) very easy to make, especially the dough and b)delicious. I am still waiting for my free attachment which I ordered via the included rebate. I'm very excited about my purchase.
