This is the top of the line in food processors and if you are into that kind of stuff it looks very spiffy on your countertop. Yes, I am a baker. The best I can say about this machine is that it is big and powerful and will mix a double batch of chocolate chip cookies. However, it never fully mixes the stuff on the bottom of the bowl, and it's very difficult to get a rubber spatula down to the bottom because of the mechanics of the machine. The bowl moves down rather than the beater part swinging up. It is also difficult to add ingredients while the beater is moving. There just isn't enough room. I suggest buying the smaller Kitchenaid, if only a Kitchenaid will do. Before this machine, I owned an Osterizer Kitchen Center a 3 in one appliance that had a stand beater with two bowls. I loved that thing and used it to death for 15 years and then I succumbed to Kitchenaid envy.
