A few comments suggest that the mixer is awkward - bowl attaching to base and controls on left side. Although having the controls on the right-hand side would be nice, it's not so cumbersome that you cannot adjust. As for the bowl attaching to the base? A simple twist is all it takes. Nothing hard about that. I love my mixer. It's beats holding a hand mixer and it beats batters faster than using a hand mixer.
