I waited 20 years to get a mixer like this! Before buying it I compared the Sunbeam and Kitchenaid closely side by side. I was very impressed with the mixing blade on the Kitchenaid rotating around the circumference and depth of the bowl verses the Sunbeam being stationary in the middle of the bowl. There is no need to scrape the sides of the Kitchenaid bowl; this mixer does its job! On the first use of this mixer I noticed it the machine worked with ease and just sounded like the quality it appears to have on the outside! You can pour ingredients in the pour shield without getting flour or sugar all over your kitchen.
Unlike the Sunbeam, clean up was a breeze. The all metal finish with wiped down with ease, it does not have a bunch of little indentations and holes to clean up. The slick design all metal finish not only provides a quality mixer, it is a beautiful addition to the countertop.
When I bought my mixer I found that the attachment knob was missing. I called Kitchenaid, fully expecting I would have to by the piece and they were extremely helpful and sent out a replacement knob at absolutely no charge.
Quality product, Quality customer service! Such a novel concept now days.
