Okay I'll admitt it. The main reason I wanted this is because it matches all the other kitchen aid stuff I have :) But besides that I have only owned handheld mixers and used a full size one like this at my mil's house and found out what I was missing. I recived this as a gift from my mom which is good b/c it's expensive. It's very durable. I have a small kitchen and it's gotten banged into with other pots and pans and shoved around in the cabinet space. No scratches looks and works the same as the day I got it.
