I love my new KitchenAid mixer! The old KitchenAid mixer that I "inherited" from my mother finally bit the dust after more than 45 years of use. This one is fabulous--a larger bowl, bigger motor and a wonderful shield. It mixes things extremely quickly and the whisk is great for making whipped cream really fast. I haven't yet used the dough kneader, but I have a friend that does and she swears by it. I had one of these mixers before and it lasted about 6 years before its low gears ground out of commission. I'm using this machine and so far it sounds quiet and seems to do a good job.
