Admittedly, I was hesitant about dropping almost $300 on a MIXER, but since my wife has been asking for one for quite awhile I took the plunge. Not only did I get a good discounted price from Amazon, but when it arrived we were both very impressed at the quality and expandability this unit has. It has quite a few peripherals for shredding, slicing, etc. as well as making your own pasta and even *shudder* "sausage"... (eek...)
