After wanting one for many years, I finally was in a position to fulfill a wish and buy this mixer--(kids have all left home and the dog has died--no one needs shoes, orthodontists, doctors, vets, or tuition.) I am very pleased with this mixer. It's a real workhorse. The only downside I can think of is it's weight,(and isn't that true for many of us!) I like to keep it out of the way, and moving it to the workspace is certainly going to help me develop some mighty muscles. I love my new mixer. It handled stiff cookie dough just fine. Am hoping to get the shredder attachment soon. It fits neatly into my tambour rolling door corner appliance garage, and slides right out when I need it. The larger version is too tall for this. This is the perfect size for the amount of cooking I do these days.
