Nothing beats a Kitchen Aid. Unless Whirlpool really messes with the quality sometime in the future, I can't imagine owning any other mixer than a Kitchen Aid. If you want a mixer, but don't want the expense of a Kitchen Aid, wait for a good sale - they are everywhere. I got mine brand new on Amazon for less than $200 including shipping, as well as a shredder attachment, and it will last me decades....
