This is my second KitchenAid mixer during the past 20 years. I killed the first one by trying to beat frozen butter while in a hurry to make Christmas cookies in late 2005...please heed my warning and DO NOT TRY THIS with your mixer unless you want to burn up your motor!
I love the new modernized look of the Cobalt Blue but am disappointed in the redesign of the shield. It is now a 2-parter and is very annoying to deal with as compared to the one-piece shield of years past.
I use this product frequently and own most of the attachments. My only other "issue" with it is that the slowest setting (a.k.a. STIR) is not all that slow. The mixer sort of starts out at a medium speed and goes up to "lauching into space" speed.
