My husband bought me this mixer for Christmas. We received the speedy shipment on Dec. 5 and there has not been a day since that I have not used my mixer! It is so simple to use and makes my everyday cooking so much easier and quicker. I have used the paddle, whip, and dough hook and find them very easy to clean. All but the whip can go right in the dishwasher. I was pleasantly surprised at just how much the bowl will hold. It is deceiving to look at. It looks small but can hold a double batch with no problem. I love the shield because I usually make a huge mess and this definitely helps me control it! I have made breads, whipped cream, cookies, pies, mashed potatoes, and other veggies, and mixed meatloaf so far with my mixer with no problem at all. I have used it back to back batches several times a day with no problem. I have not used any attachments yet because I just ordered them. I feel that the extra money spent on this mixer was definitely well worth it. The high quality of this mixer is obvious as soon as you open the box. I have previously burnt up several other big name stand mixers ($200 MIXERS) and so far so good here. If I had to pick one thing to not like about this mixer, I would say the weight. It is heavy so you don't want to put it where you are not going to be using it! I also found the Mixer Bible book to be helpful and it has loads of recipes for this mixer.
