I bought my Kitchenaid mixer in May 2006. I had been wanting one for a long time, and finally was able to afford one through Amazon. This is a hard working and dependable machine. I often make double batches of cookies, breads, other heavy doughs in it. It does the job so fast and well that I no longer have sore hands after baking these things. I purchased the vegetable shredder attachment, which makes the job of cutting up cabbage for cole slaw a snap. All of the mixer parts wash up easily, including the stainless steel bowl, which is invaluable for so many kitchen chores. I call my new helper "Black Beauty".
