while visiting our son and his wife over the thanksgiving holidays, my wife had the opportunity to help with the cooking. our daughter in law had received this mixer as a wedding present as she loves to cook.
when my wife saw how well this kitchen aid mixer performed, she fell in love with it and had to have one. so we ordered it from amazon the friday after thanksgiving and it arrived at our home the next week.
as soon as we got home, she threw away our old sunbeam mixer and hasnt looked back.

This is the best mixer I have ever owned, and I've owned plenty over the years...I regret I didn't buy it 20 yrs ago..It's a bit heavy and the splash guard is a bit awkward, but I can deal with that...This mixer cuts the mixing time by half or more..It's a beautiful machine, it's very quiet by mixer standards and it's easy to use...great product...
