I couldn't wait to get this mixer and it arrived quicker than expected. I knew I'd love it. It isn't as loud as I thought it would be and mixed bread dough perfectly (the only thing I've tried so far.) It did come with a scratch and I find the bowl almost impossible to remove, but I think I'm gonna really love using this machine. Looking forward to doing my holiday baking as I've never had a stand mixer before. Great price and great service. I have recently purchased another kitchenaid stand mixer for my second daughter because a kitchen is not complete without this mixer. I have had mine for many many years and cannot imagine my kitchen without it. My girls use it almost every day so it is left out on the counter for quick and easy access. Actually, I have to return the product back the first time I received it. After the first use, the rotator refuse to rotate anymore.

Amazon was great back taking it back and ship me another machine.

The second machines works perfect, and it haven't cause me any trouble just yet.

However, there is one design I really don't like about the bowl. The paddle and the bowl do not mix all the ingredients together. There is always a spoonful of flour or sugar that gets left at the bottom.

I don't know that I can say anything about this mixer that hasn't already been said in the other 710 reviews, but here it is: This is the world's greatest stand mixer. There are imitators out there, but don't mess with them- even if they sport a lower price. Your only decision should be whether to buy this version or the professional version: KitchenAid KP26M1XNP Professional 600 Series 6-Quart Stand Mixer, Nickel Pearl. I would say that the "regular" version will work marvelously for any home kitchen.

This was a replacement for my taller bowl raising unit, that I had for probably 15 years and 3 or 4 moves. Loved it, but after a kitchen remodel, it wouldn't fit under the cabinet. This one is a higher power than my previous older model, works great, and matches my updated kitchen perfectly. Love it. I'd give you a photo of it in it's new home, but can't figure that out.

I bought this device thinking I'd get years of use and enjoyment out of it. I thought it would improve my quality of life immensely. I thought I'd be the coolest on the block. But after only a year of use, a new model came out that was obviously much cooler, had better features, was smaller and was what everyone was talking about. My old model was passe and still owning it made me feel like a loser. So I had to buy the new one. I felt better for a little while, but you know what? The same thing happened again, and again! They just keep on putting out better ones and they create desire for something that no one really needs. Its a viscous cycle I tell you. You can't win!
