I have used a Sunbeam stand mixer for over 20 years. Too bad I didn't get a Kitchen Aide in the begining. My Artisan handles the stiffest dough as if it were whipping cream. I enjoy the tilt head and have no trouble using a spatula to scrape down the sides (while the machine is OFF). It's amazing how "she" can cream cold butter, or whip potatoes in a flash. The 5 quart bowl easily handles the double or triple batches of cookie dough.

I confess to being partly attracted to this appliance because I love anything that comes in red. That having been said, I'm also a good cook who loves to entertain in grand style and make things from scratch.
