I know we probable don't need another review for this Kitchen Aid mixer, but, I just have to say how much I love mine. My husband calls it "The Slavemaker". I was a little disapointed with it in the biginning because you needed to stop and scrape the bowl all the time. Then I found the "Sideswipe" beater, and that totally fixed that problem. So,sure, you're thinking, another gadget. But hey, if you got this thing as a gift or on some screaming deal like I did, what's another $25 bucks? If you love to cook, you probably have every other gadget in the world anyway, so just buck up and get one more and learn to love you mixer. I can see from some of the other reviews that some people got lemons when they got their kitchen aid, so there is always a risk that the manufacturer let one through without the required quality control, but I think you can see from the many, many who got good ones, that that is not the general rule.
My Kitchen Aid is a real workhorse and I use it all the time. I have had it for over three years and have never had a hiccup with it.
You can get a Sideswipe or something similar on Amazon or on a website, and it really puts your machine right, you,ll never have to stop and scrape again.
