We purchased this mixer for a gift for our daughter and new son in law. We have had our KitchenAid Mixer for 28 years. We have never had any problems with the mixer, although we have managed to break the whisk and dent the bowl, hey, use anything weekly for 28 years and you will have to make minor replacements, parts are still available for our 28 year old mixer. My wife still loves it so we knew this would be a great gift for newlyweds with years of cooking ahead of them. My daughter has used it several times and thinks it is the best thing ever. We know she will get years of pleasure from it. You can not go wrong with this mixer so spend the extra bucks over those inexpensive discount store models, (which you will replace every couple of years and can not do the job properly), and get a mixer that will outlast you. We purchased from Amazon store, got the free shipping and it arrived in less than five days. We will buy from Amazon again.
