Since my old mixer of over 25 years was tired, I purchased the KitchenAid at the terrific price of $249.00, which was $30 below any other price I researched at the time. This holiday has been busy with baking many tasty cookies, breads and cakes using the KitchenAid and I am most satisfied with the results. It is a much heavier mixer than my old one but the weight is a plus when you are mixing a heavy batter at high speeds.
