For Mother's Day, I bought myself a KitchenAid (Artisan Series) stand mixer. It is everything I wanted in a stand mixer. Along with the black and stainless steel, which matches my appliances, it works as well as it looks. The 5 quart bowl capacity is large enough for what I need; whether it's mixing and kneading four batches of bread dough or mashing potatoes. Cleanup is easy too, which is important for a busy cook. I have never had a stand mixer before, and now I wonder how I ever lived without one! The bowl is easy to attach and detach - you just twist on or off. The same goes for the mixing attachments. I looked at many websites before I found that Amazon had the best price around. Amazon made ordering easy, and the good thing is, I got exactly what was advertised and only took a few days to get.
