This is my first stand mixer and it exceeds my expectations. The Cobalt Blue resembles the color of a blueberry. This mixer allows me to work on the preparation of other things simultaneously because I don't have to hold the mixer while it is operating. It is easy to clean. It stays on the counter which is convenient because I don't have to pull out or put away the hand mixer. Several companies make stand mixer lifts for the Kitchen Aid stand mixers if it is desirable to store the mixer in a cabinet. The lift mechanism lifts the mixer on a platform from the cabinet to a counter height level for ease of use. However, the cabinet to be fitted with this lift mechanism can not have a drawer in it.
