For my use the 5 quart size is important. 4.5 quarts would not do. I would even
prefer a 5.5 or a 6 quart version, but this is pretty close to perfect. I have only
one complaint, which is that the dough blade does not reach as far into the bowl as the
other blades. The dough blade mixes the dough, but often leaves some of the dry mixture
pooled in the bottom. I can not lower it, because then the other blades will contact
the bowl. I don't know if my experience is the exception, or typical. I would still
buy this appliance, though. It gets used a lot in my house. Here are the most common things
I use it for:
Bread doughs (10 minutes prep time)
Cookie doughs
Pie fillings
Cake batters
