After several years of wanting a Kitchenaid stand mixer, I finally took the leap. I had a 32 year old Sunbeam Mixmaster which had served me well. Cost was always a factor, but when I found it for $199.99 at Amazon I decided to give in and hope it was worth the cost. I used my new mixer for the first time cooking Thanksgiving dinner for my family. It beat my dough perfectly using my mixer pie crust recipe I'd used for years. I also used it to mix my pumpkin pie filling and beating mashed potatoes. I love the ease of use, easy to clean, how fast it mixes, the large sized bowl, and the handle on the bowl. I didn't have to make any adjustments. It also was delivered 2 days after ordering it from Amazon. I am fortunate to have enough counter space to leave it sitting out. It is heavy and would not be easy to handle to get it in and out of a cabinet.
