I really like this mixer and I got it for a great price. With all of the discounts offered through Amazon I purchased this for $214.00. The Imperial Black is not smooth. The surface is rough. I think I would have preferred a smooth finish for cleaning purposes only. Overall great Product! Get more detail about KitchenAid KSM150PSER Artisan Series 5-Quart Mixer, Empire Red.
