I bought the Kitchen Aid Mixer for our Christmas gift to ourselves. My Honey is 80 years old and having memory problems so I, at 84, am now doing most of the cooking. This mixer is built like a tank. When we received it, the box looked like it had been dropped. When I opened it the foam padding was broken and the mixer was catawampus in the box. I feared that something might be broken or the bowl might be bent, but my fears were unfounded. The mixer works great. I have only used it 4 times and have been very satisfied with it. I find I am not a bad cook considering that I started cooking in my 80's and the mixer helped me make a couple loaves of some very good bread. Try it!
