A week before Christmas I began making dozens of cookies. My old $19.00 mixer started its usual grind in not wanting to finish the project. Alas, it gave up the ghost and I told my hubby I was going to get another one after the holidays. Lo and behold, I received the KitchenAid mixer for Christmas. I am delighted and tried it on Christmas day making the chocolate cream puffs in the recipe book. I LOVE THIS MACHINE!!! It doesn't howl, grind, groan, moan or any of the other sounds emitting from an "el-cheap-o" mixer. The attachments are easy to use with a snap in and twist mechanism. The stainless steel bowl locks in with ease and the handle is balanced properly for easily handling. There is a flour guard for placement over the bowl to keep the dry ingredients from flying all over the place. All the directions are easy to follow, i.e., care and cleaning. If any of you are like me in purchasing a cheap product...STOP...STOP...STOP! Invest in this mixer because you won't be disappointed.
