I don't care what something costs (within reason, of course), if the quality is there. And it is truly there with KitchenAid. I have always had a KitchenAid mixer and presently have a stand mixer and a 9-speed hand mixer. They are both great and perform beautifully. I recently moved into a smaller kitchen and needed to downsize into an Artisan mixer from a large Professional KitchenAid and I'm totally happy with it.
