Ordering the Artisan from Amazon was seamless. Great price and quick delivery. The mixer seems very durable and we have mixed frostings to bread dough with no problems. Initially the motor did not sound quite right - on low speed it sounded like a 2-stroke engine instead of a steady hum. I called KA customer service - you actually get a real person in a few seconds and did not have to go through a maze of automated instructions. They quickly assessed the problem and shipped me out a new Artisan in about 3 days with prepaid shipping and pickup at my door to return the defective unit.
