KitchenAid KSM150PSER Artisan Series 5-Quart Mixer, Empire Red This instant

Kitchen Aid mixers have been available for so many years, and we tend to forget their older mixers. The tilt-head and bowl-lift models available now are using the very deep and narrow bowls available for the last twenty-five years or so following the demise of their smaller line. The efficiency of the planetary mixing action is good for most items. These machines are relatively inexpensive, good and heavy on a counter, and come in all sorts of interesting colors now. It isn't the best for heavy doughs like bread (the European Bosch and Electrolux mixers are much better). Maida Heatter has an interesting and valid viewpoint when she states the Sunbeam or other mixers with two bowls are better for cakes--she even takes hers cross-country when she demonstrates! I have eight mixers for different uses, and didn't replace my last K'Aid when it burned out. It remains a good all-round choice for the light duty it'll get in the average kitchen, and the attachments are cheap compared to the competition. Not of the quality found in their past mixers, but few things are! Get more detail about KitchenAid KSM150PSER Artisan Series 5-Quart Mixer, Empire Red.
