KitchenAid KSM150PSER Artisan Series 5-Quart Mixer, Empire Red Review

Beautiful blender. Works great and looks lovely on my counter. I leave it out all the time because I love to look at it. I also bought the meat grinder which works very well too. I have always wanted a kitchenaid blender and am so glad that I finally splurged and got one. Well worth the money. A quality item for sure. I watch Food Network all the time and let's face it, EVERY chef on that show uses Kitchenaid mixers so that's endorsement enough for me. I wanted to upgrade from my 12 year old Kitchenaid Classic since with almost anything I mixed the pin that holds the base to the top would jiggle its way out from the vibrations and it always seemed to struggle with relatively workable dough (like oatmeal raisin cookie). I was considering the Professional series but decided the footprint was too large for my kitchen (it would be difficult to store), and the reviews didn't sound resoundingly positive enough for me. The footprint of the Artisan series is almost identical to the Classic, but with more power at a good price. I would give this 4.5 stars, but not 5 because it still vibrates a little more than I'd like with heavier doughs. Overall I haven't had any problems at all with it. But for me, the real selling point was the larger bowl with the handle and the pouring shield (SUCH A LUXURY!). I don't know if this is the right product for ultra serious bakers, but for the typical, everyday user, it's definitely worth it. As for Amazon as a seller, I've NEVER had a problem with them (and choose it over other sellers on Amazon, actually). But I've had problems with Kitchenaid rebates in the past, and the streak continued with this one as well (no matter how many times I mail them in, they never seem to have them in their system so you REALLY have to follow up on them constantly).Get more detail about KitchenAid KSM150PSER Artisan Series 5-Quart Mixer, Empire Red.

In my retirement I design foods for a small company I started. I use my KitchenAid Artisan Mixer nearly everyday and I think it's a great addition to my kitchen. I also like to bake for my wife, daughter and church so my mixer is getting quite a work out. It appears to be rugged and well made but, I'm careful not to go to fast under heavy loads like bread or heavy cookie batters. (I did read the instructions) I also have the food grinder and the sausage maker attachments and my KitchenAid Mixer has become very versatile.
I purchased my KitchenAid Artisan Mixer (NEW not reconditioned) through Amazon.com for $199.00 and also got a $30.00 rebate from KitchenAid, plus free shipping and no sales tax. This same machine sells for $299.00 at the local stores, mine ended up costing $169.00 and it arrived in about 3 days.Get more detail about KitchenAid KSM150PSER Artisan Series 5-Quart Mixer, Empire Red.

When I have used this, I like it. Until I can get my kitchen reorganized and have the "appliance" area I want, I keep it in the cupboard. It is heavy and awkward to get out of the cupboard, so I use my hand mixer more. I do think I will use this almost daily once I can leave it out, as I love to cook and mess in the kitchen. Plan on buying other kitchenaid appliances in red to accent my kitchen.Get more detail about KitchenAid KSM150PSER Artisan Series 5-Quart Mixer, Empire Red.
