My mom always had a Sunbeam stand mixer and it worked great. So, when i moved out on my own, i went ahead and bought the [...] sunbeam instead of shelling out the money for the Kitchen Aid. Well, after using the sunbeam about 10 times, it fried itself out mixing cream cheese (and i swear i softened it!). Bad noises, smoke, smell, the works. So, i saved up for a bit and went ahead and bought this Artisan mixer. I wish i would've spent the money for this one to begin with. Works great, works fast, no need to keep spinning the bowl as the beater moves around for you. Mixing takes half the time, and makes me just plain happy! I highly recommend this mixer
