I have never, ever been excited about a kitchen appliance before, but I had heard all the hype about the Artisan mixer and received one for Christmas last year. It was love at first sight.
Since receiving the mixer, I've been MUCH more interested in cooking. This thing puts my hand mixer to shame and makes baking much easier. I love the wisk and dough hook--I haven't even used my breadmaker for months.
This thing really deserves its reputation. It's sturdy and for a non-professional cook, it definitely gets the job done. The only concern I have is that I might get tired of the color (Willow Blue) or remodel my kitchen several times before it wears out!
