I just received my new Almond Cream Artisan a week ago and have used it several times. I am fortunate enough to have enough counter space to leave it out and looks great in the corner awaiting my next baking/mixing adventure. My mom always had a Sunbeam stand mixer and it worked great. So, when i moved out on my own, i went ahead and bought the [...] sunbeam instead of shelling out the money for the Kitchen Aid. Well, after using the sunbeam about 10 times, it fried itself out mixing cream cheese (and i swear i softened it!). Bad noises, smoke, smell, the works. So, i saved up for a bit and went ahead and bought this Artisan mixer. I wish i would've spent the money for this one to begin with. Works great, works fast, no need to keep spinning the bowl as the beater moves around for you. Mixing takes half the time, and makes me just plain happy! I highly recommend this mixer

I have never, ever been excited about a kitchen appliance before, but I had heard all the hype about the Artisan mixer and received one for Christmas last year. It was love at first sight.

Since receiving the mixer, I've been MUCH more interested in cooking. This thing puts my hand mixer to shame and makes baking much easier. I love the wisk and dough hook--I haven't even used my breadmaker for months.

This thing really deserves its reputation. It's sturdy and for a non-professional cook, it definitely gets the job done. The only concern I have is that I might get tired of the color (Willow Blue) or remodel my kitchen several times before it wears out!
