Fabulous machine. I got my Kitchenaid Artisan mixer in Majestic Yellow about 2 weeks ago, and I LOVE it! I've made dips, cakes, meatloaf, and am going to make cookies with it today. I did have to adjust the beater clearance, and did so using the suggestion posted here about putting a dime in the bowl. My husband has encouraged me to get one for a few years because I bake a lot of Christmas cookies, but I was afraid that I wouldn't use it enough to make it worth the money, and I don't have much counter space to keep it out. Boy, do I wish I would have bought it sooner! I love it so much that I MADE room on the counter. I would definitely recommend it to anyone who spends any kind of time in the kitchen. We purchased this mixer for a gift for our daughter and new son in law. We have had our KitchenAid Mixer for 28 years. We have never had any problems with the mixer, although we have managed to break the whisk and dent the bowl, hey, use anything weekly for 28 years and you will have to make minor replacements, parts are still available for our 28 year old mixer. My wife still loves it so we knew this would be a great gift for newlyweds with years of cooking ahead of them. My daughter has used it several times and thinks it is the best thing ever. We know she will get years of pleasure from it.
